About Guild Festival Theatre

Guild Festival Theatre is Scarborough’s only professional theatre company and has been presenting contemporary takes on classics at the iconic Greek Theatre in Guild Park & Gardens since 2011. Presenting plays, concerts, and special events throughout July and August, GFT is committed to expanding the conventional definition of theatre classics by highlighting stories and artists that reflect diverse, multicultural community that we call home. Position: Project Manager - Existing Audience Engagement
Contract Dates: January 6th to September 14th
Job Type: Part-time (approximately 25-30 hours/month)
Compensation: $6,300 total
Location: Scarborough, Ontario (Hybrid Remote/In person)

Job Description


The Project Manager will assist with the completion of a special program funded by the Metcalf Foundation’s Strategic Experimentation Fund. This portion of the program involves building on GFT's existing audience base and working with keystone patrons to participate in an initiative to reach new community members.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Research GFT patron data to identify trends in attendance and patron activity
  • Plan, execute and lead training sessions for keystone patrons on effective peer to peer marketing techniques.
  • Develop promotional materials, talking points and social media kits
  • Manage incentive programs for keystone patrons
  • Plan and host recognition and reward initiatives

Skills & Qualifications

Requirements

  • Graduated from a post secondary diploma/degree in Project Management, Communications, Arts Administration or related discipline, and/or comparable work experience
  • Strong project management skills including coordinating with participants, meeting deadlines, managing budgets, planning events, etc.
  • Strong written & verbal communications skills
  • Strong time management skills and an ability to prioritize & balance different
    tasks simultaneously
  • Strong public speaking skills in in-person and online settings.
  • Available for evening and weekend work

Assets

  • Experience in Marketing & Communications, Community Engagement, and/or Audience Development
  • Knowledge of the performing arts
  • Knowledge of Google Workspace
  • Excellent interpersonal and collaborative skills
  • Attention to detail
