If you are using Private Transportation:

Delegates using taxi's that are going between the hotel to the airport, can either decide on a set price that is confirmed and agreed upon by the driver and delgate prior to leaving the airport hotel, or they can go based on the metre rate per the Halifax Administrative Order 39 for Taxi Regulation. We suggest delegates confirm the price with their cab driver, prior to departing the airport if not going by the metre. Delegates can expect to pay a price of around $70 for a taxi.

The vehicles that the Airport Authority authorizes to operate on their property are expected to charge the rates established by the Airport Authority, according to Section 2.1 of Adminitrative Order 39, which is an admin order of the Halifax Regional Municipality, regulating taxi operations.

Generally, the vehicles found at curbside outside the airport would be authorized vehicles. It could be different if delegates were to pre-book a taxi on their own, if that company is not authorized by the Airport Authority.

To reduce your footprint we reccommend cab sharing, if possible.
