Job Description
Quest Theatre is searching for a Drama Education Associate to oversee and expand Drama Education programs at Quest including School Residency programs, Seasonal Drama Camps, and any new initiatives approved by the Artistic Director.

Although the position’s primary objectives lie in the Drama Education branch of the company, the successful candidate will also be expected to be aware of and contribute to general activities of the organization, as their time allows, as part of the small team environment at Quest Theatre.

Requirements
The successful candidate will have post-secondary education in drama/theatre or education (or equivalent), have basic office skills to communicate concepts, describe programs, understand budgets, manage, plan and report on programming. Previous experience with Artist Residencies in schools, teaching or theatre making activities is an asset.

The successful candidate will have to clear a security check for vulnerable sectors (paid for by Quest Theatre).

Contract Details
Anticipated start date March 3, 2025

Temporary part-time (20 flex hours/week): $26/hour for a period of 24 months ending February 28, 2027.

Please note the position requires the occasional weekend and evening hours. As a contract employee it is expected that the successful candidate supplies their own equipment (computer, phone, transportation). Although a workstation is provided at Quest, it is possible for the candidate to work from home for a portion of the job. Other work, collaboration with staff or teams, preparation of materials, visits to programs at schools, will be required to be done in person.
