ABOUT THE POSITION
This is a contract part-time role, that will begin as soon as available, and runs until June 30, 2025, with options to extend. It is a part-time hourly position (20 hours per week at $25/hr).
The PACT Communications & Membership Associate is an important part of a small team working closely together in service of professional theatre across Canada. This position plays a key role in supporting PACT’s membership and communications strategies through the collaboration, creation, and distribution of various communications. This role engages with internal and external stakeholders, including members and the board of directors.

PACT is based in Toronto but work remotely while maintaining our relationships as a team using online platforms and occasionally gathering in person in one of Canada’s theatre centres. There is flexibility in scheduling with an expectation of some consistent availability during our peak hours for meetings and programming (12:00–4:00PM ET). For this reason, applicants from across Canada are encouraged to apply.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

Maintain social media channels, including content creation, building branded graphics, audience engagement, special campaigns, and monitoring.

Create and distribute member communications, including Special Employment Bulletins and bi-weekly Newsletters

Provide member support through account maintenance, navigation assistance, and email inquiries.

Assist with website maintenance and content updates.

Provide operational and administrative support as required, including taking minutes, database management, monitoring communications, etc.

Contribute and collaborate with PACT staff on marketing initiatives and special projects.

Support PACT’s annual conference through collaboration and development of conference communications, materials, and providing onsite support.
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS

At least one (1) years’ experience in communications and/or marketing, ideally in a non-profit environment. Experience with a performing arts organization or at a professional theatre company is an asset.

Acumen with graphic design programs, email marketing software, website CMS platforms, and membership CRM databases.

Familiarity with Microsoft Office programs (i.e. Outlook, Sharepoint, Word, Excel, etc).

Training or experience with equity, diversity, accessibility, and anti-oppression practices is an asset.

Familiarity with the Canadian Theatre Agreement (CTA) is an asset.

Dependable and reliable with an ability to work well independently and with a variety of people.
