Job Description
Geordie Theatre is excited to launch the Mike Payette Mentorship Program, a 6-month paid mentorship for IBPOC artists looking to begin a career as an Artistic Director in theatre.
Working under the guidance and mentorship of Geordie Theatre’s Artistic Director, Jimmy Blais, the artist will gain valuable insight on the core responsibilities and duties of Artistic Direction, including:
Season planning and programming
Working with funders and funding bodies
Managing a staff
Working with a Board of Directors
Working with an Executive Director
Community engagement
Creating work within the scope of your artistic vision
For submissions, please include:
Resume and artist biography
A letter of support from a pertinent source
A 3-5 minute video expressing your desire to work in Artistic Direction
