Company Overview

Founded in 1998, the Canadian College of Performing Arts has over 850 alumni who have successfully entered the industry. Uniquely focused training programs have brought hundreds of artists together in collaboration as coaches, educators and trainers. Located in Victoria BC, but national in scope and ambition, the College offers a rare gateway for the right individual to guide the work of emerging artists in the professional performing arts industry.

Our record speaks for itself. The real test was the remarkable staying power demonstrated in the financially devastating years of 2020 to 2022, surviving COVID with pure grit, careful financial management and determination. The College proved resilience, breaking box office and sponsorship records in 2022 with Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, being awarded the Lieutenant Governor’s Arts and Music Award, and named one of Canada’s Top Acting Schools by Casting Workbook.

Our website, www.ccpacanada.com, provides a full overview of the college, its status in the artistic educational sector, and remarkable history. All of our students graduate equipped with excellent training to embark on careers, and alumni find work in all roles in the entertainment industry locally, nationally, and internationally.

The College is committed to upholding the values of equity, diversity, inclusion and accessibility (EDIA) in our living, learning, and work environments. Consistent with those values, the College is committed to establishing an inclusive, equitable, and accessible environment for all. We know that we all share responsibility for creating an equitable, diverse, and inclusive community. In pursuit of our values, we seek members who will work respectfully and constructively with differences and across levels of power.
