Job Description

Mirvish Productions is seeking a Company Manager for the first-class theatre production of Disney’s The Lion King in Toronto. The role will be to manage administrative operations of the production during pre-production and performances at the Princess of Wales Theatre, and to represent the Producer and General Manager at the venue. Leadership and Communication skills are foremost in the search in addition to experience with the administrative duties of a Company Manager.

 

This position reports to the SENIOR COMPANY MANAGER.

 

Specific duties include, but are not limited to:   

·       Coordinate travel and transportation needs

·       Arrange short-term and long-term housing

·       Complete and process work permit applications

·       Generate, submit and approve company payroll

·       Review and submit invoices and reimbursements

·       Prepare and distribute per diem

·       Coordinate arrangements for medical and para-medical appointments

·       Communicate with cast, stage management, musicians and crew for all company notifications

·       Liaise with Production Stage Manager to ensure off-stage needs of the company support on-stage performance

·       Liaise with Artists’ union representatives for notifications and payments

·       Communicate with members of various departments, and identify needs and coordinate activities to ensure needs are met

·       Perform other tasks assigned by management

 

Qualifications:

·       Minimum 5 years experience working in theatre management

·       Prior experience as Company Manager of a first-class theatre production

·       Knowledge of CAEA rules and regulations

·       High-level communication skills

·       Exceptional attention to detail

·       Able to work evenings and weekends

 

 

 

This full-time contract position is located in Toronto, Ontario and will begin on or before August 5, 2024, with possible part-time hours in advance of that date.

 

Starting Date: August 5, 2024, with possible part-time hours in advance

 

Contract Length: 16 months, to November 30, 2025

 

Job Type: Full Time Contract

Annual Salary: $70,000 - $80,000
