Job Description

Position: Assistant Production Administrator
Reporting to : Production Director
Annual salary range: $38,000 – $43,000

Responsibilities include:

  • Assists with departmental administration including the ‘Weekly’ and crew scheduling; timesheet processing; Visa and petty cash submissions; maintain departmental employee status and data base; assist with labour and material budget reporting;
  • Build positive personnel relationships while maintaining professional discretion;
  • Understand and adher to company policies;
  • Develop improved methods to support Shaw Festival production.

Qualifications include:

  • Knowledge of Health and Safety and WHMIS compliance;
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Office with strong potential to expand digital knowledge;
  • Proven time management and organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy;
  • Good written and oral communication skills;
  • Minimum G class driver’s license with a clean driving record (for occasional use of company vehicles).
  • Work well as part of a team;
  • Have a positive attitude (a sense of humour helps);
  • A post-secondary education in a technical theatre program or equivalent would be considered an asset
