Reporting to Geordie’s Managing Director, Artistic Director and the GTS Director, the GTS Coordinator supports the GTS Director in all elements of Geordie Theatre School. Alongside the GTS Director, they also strive to increase the reach, impact, and creativity of GTS through brainstorming, research, and outreach.

 

Main responsibilities and abilities:

  • Coordination
    • Create contracts for teachers and interns.
    • Coordinate the intern placements, schedules, and final grading with the GTS Director.
    • Alongside the GTS Director, coordinate GTS registration – including online registration forms, deposits, final balances, Responsibility Contracts, etc.
    • Aid in finding and securing a venue for GTS classes and all final performances.
    • Contribute to the maintenance of the GTS section of the Geordie website as well as the corporate workshops microsite.
    • Will coordinate the logistics for corporate workshops once they are booked and finalized.
    • Support the outreach and implementation of the Bursary Fund including contacting community centres, liaising with applicants, and facilitating the selection process.
    • Aid in the coordination of the GTS Final Cabaret.
  •  Outreach
    • Liaise with Concordia University regarding their internship program. Promote the internship program to other schools and to the Montreal theatre community.
    • Build stronger connections with youth focused organizations, community centres, and marginalized/low-income groups in order to promote the GTS Bursary.
    • Research new opportunities for after school programming and workshops.
    • Research promotional opportunities and collaborations for GTS West in the West Island.
  • Development
    • Meet with the GTS Director to brainstorm new possibilities for GTS to increase its reach and impact.
    • Work with the GTS Director and the Associate Producer to research possible funding sources.

 

Qualifications

  • Must have strong English written and oral communication skills.
  • Bilingualism is an asset.
