Job Description
This is an exciting opportunity to enhance fund development initiatives at the PuSh International Performing Arts Society, while seeking out new and innovative ways to generate revenue through meaningful engagement with patrons and community throughout the year.
Reporting directly to the Director of Operations, the Manager of Development and Engagement is responsible for leading the smooth operation, development and growth of individual fundraising programs that are in line with PuSh’s mission and core values. This includes planning and executing fundraising campaigns and events online and in person, and managing and developing an individual donor base year round. The successful candidate will collaborate with contractors and staff to diversify PuSh’s fundraising activities while exploring community and value-based approaches to donor engagement.
This is a full-time position that operates in accordance with the Association of Fundraising Professionals Code of Ethics and Donor Bill of Rights. Please note that some evening and weekend work may be required throughout the year, particularly during festival time.

Candidates Professional Experience:
Experience in fundraising or developing community revenue streams;
Experience with web-based fundraising strategies;
Proven track record in setting and reaching financial goals;
Post-secondary degree or diploma or equivalent education and experience.
Exceptional Candidates will have:
A history of or interest in contemporary approaches to building community-based revenue streams through meaningful connection to patrons;
Experience in fund development in the arts or parallel industries;
Track record of successful fundraising event coordination;
Experience working with database software to track and manage donors.
Areas of Specific Responsibility
The position includes, but is not limited to the following tasks:
Donor Management
Cultivate relationships with potential donors and maintain relationships with current donors;
Work with the communications team to engage new and returning audiences and community members year round in ways that build meaningful connections over time;
Process donations on the CRM database and implement recognition strategies;
Manage and update donor records, contact information and donation history to ensure precise and consistent donation tracking;
Provide leadership to the volunteer Fundraising committee to achieve fundraising goals and targets, as necessary and appropriate;
Work with the Collaborative Leadership Team to establish and monitor revenue targets and manage the fundraising budget;
Work with the Collaborative Leadership Team to ensure that fundraising policies for the Society are up-to-date and effective;
Network on behalf of the Society to encourage support and interest.
Campaigns, Reports and Events
Actively solicit funds on behalf of the Society through presentations, proposals, mailings, email campaigns, personal solicitations and other methods;
Work to identify gaps in current fundraising strategies in order to develop and implement new fundraising efforts;
Collaborate on the development of fundraising materials and tools, including final reports, newsletters, impact reports, web content, thank you letters and other materials;
Coordinate and host donor events.
General
Work with the team to develop impact and annual reports for donors and sponsors;
Work with the Sponsorship and Advertising consultant on overall development strategy;
Work with the Sponsorship and Advertising consultant and leadership to follow through on sponsor commitments and engagement;
Participate in Festival activities as necessary;
Attend regular staff, committee and production meetings;
Support PuSh, its staff members and contractors as necessary.
