Theatre Aquarius, one of Canada’s leading professional non-profit theatres, is searching for an Education and Outreach Manager to manage the creation, development, and coordination of education and community outreach programs. Education programs include theatre school and theatre camps for children, youth and adults in all aspects of theatre and musical theatre. The Education and Outreach Manager will deepen relationship with area schools, lead the growth of our ArtsAlive curriculum-based school outreach program as well as coordinate school matinees and related activities. They will also manage our community outreach program including Community Night, our Ovation Outreach Subsidized Ticket program and other activities that serve our community.

Job Description
- Hire and support artists/instructors for education programs and oversee class lesson planning
- Create class lists and schedules.
- Coordinate school matinees and related programming.
- Develop and maintain outreach programming and partnerships.
- Work with community organizations and schools on various outreach activities and programs.
- Build and maintain partnerships with primary, secondary and post secondary schools
- Communicate with artists, families, staff and partners.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
· 5 years experience in professional theatre and arts education
· Demonstrated experience developing arts education programming
· Experience in a professional theatre environment
· Experience leading a team
· Computer literacy
· Superior interpersonal skills
· Superior written communication skills
