Job Description
About the Role:
Working under the supervision of the Executive Director, the Development Coordinator is responsible for developing and implementing fundraising strategies—managing donor relationships, and securing sponsorships and foundation partnerships. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of fundraising principles and practices, experience with donor cultivation and stewardship, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement fundraising strategies for HFTco's programs and initiatives, including sponsorship procurement and foundation partnership management.
Manage donor relationships: outreach, cultivation, stewardship, communications.
Identify and cultivate new corporate sponsors and foundation partners.
Research, prepare, and submit grant applications.
Track and report on fundraising progress.
Plan, lead, and attend fundraising events and meetings.
Collaborate with core staff and consultants on creation and execution of a 3-Yr Marketing & Tourism Growth Strategic Plan; help to assess, set, and reach ambitious, achievable targets and goals.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field, such as fundraising, nonprofit management, or marketing.
Priority given to candidates with 5+ years fundraising experience
Proven ability to develop and implement fundraising strategies and events.
Strong understanding of donor cultivation and stewardship practices.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Proficient in Google Workspace, with some experience in donor/database management and/or other relevant fundraising software.
