The Professional Association of Canadian Theatres is a leading advocate for theatre in Canada and often provides a united voice for Canadian theatre companies.

Our Advocacy Committee directs the association’s ongoing advocacy activities, which aim to educate and inform stakeholder groups as well as the general public. We believe that theatre makes an essential contribution to Canadian life and that the experience of theatre should be readily accessible to Canadians, and we work to influence government policy to advance these beliefs.

Our activities include; taking part in Arts Day on the Hill, preparing an annual pre-budget submission, creating tools to support our members in their advocacy work, supporting World Theatre Day & World Theatre Day for Children and Young People celebrations and so much more.

If you wish to learn more about or join PACT’s advocacy committee please drop Membership & Communications Manager, Mirette A. Shoeir, a line.
