So, you bought your ticket to PACTcon, but you want to make sure you can make meaningful connections prior to the conference?

In 2024 PACT is launched the Buddies Program and we are delighted to bring it back for PACTcon 2025!

This program is for anyone interested in having a mentor guide them through the conference and help them make the most of it (even if you’ve attended before the pandemic).

Mentors and their Buddies will have various touchpoints to meet prior to, during, and after the conference, to strengthen your network and lean on experienced theatre artists and administrators in the community.

This session will provide a guideline for the program, what to expect at the conference, as well as a brief overview of SwapCard, the official PACTcon 2024 conference app.

About the Buddies Program:

PACT believes mentorship is a social exchange for learning at various points of one’s career. It’s a constellation of theatre colleagues that all bring something to the table. For purposes of clarity, those wanting to participate in this program are called Buddies and those supporting these Buddies are called Mentors although mentorship goes beyond this binary.

Mentors will have a chance to share knowledge and resources, informing the next generation of theatre makers and administrators across the country. Buddies will have the chance to meet before the conference, at a breakfast kick-off on Wednesday, May 21th and PACT will provide suggestions on places to meet around the city for participants. We also encourage Buddy/Mentors to keep in touch after the conference.
