Job Description

A regular full time Theatre Facilitator position is available in the Arts & Culture Division within the Community Services Department at the Cowichan Valley Regional District (CVRD). Reporting to the Manager, Arts and Culture Division, the Theatre Facilitator assists the manager with organizing theatre operations and works collaboratively with division staff to provide specialized facilitation and administrative support for all shows, rentals & events held at Cowichan Performing Arts Centre (CPAC) and within the Arts & Culture Division

Qualifications

·        A Bachelor of Arts degree or a diploma from a community college in a related field, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience

·        A minimum of five years of administrative experience is required

·        Experience working with and supervising staff and volunteers

·        Experience with ticketing and room booking software

·        Experience with event planning and performer liaison

·        Experience in marketing, publicity and promotions are considered an asset

·        Class 5 BC Driver’s License

·        First Aid Level 1 with CPR

Hours of Work:  Guaranteed 35 hours of work per week. Due to nature of the work, it will be necessary to work a variety of shifts, including days, nights, and weekends. This position is eligible for flex time. This position is eligible for partial Work-From-Home consideration.
