Job Description

ABOUT THE POSITION

Canadian Stage seeks an energetic and effective front-line fundraiser for the position in the organization: Senior Manager, Individual Giving.  Reporting to the Director of Development and Campaigns and supported by the Development Coordinator, this position will be responsible for managing the Producer’s Club ($2,000 to $10,000) and Patron’s Club ($75 to $1,999) membership programs at Canadian Stage.

The successful candidate must be highly self motivated and results driven. They must be a strategic and innovative thinker with strong relationship building skills. This is an excellent position for an existing or emerging fundraising leader in the arts and culture sector.

 KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

·       Drive identification, acquisition, and renewal of the annual giving programs at Canadian Stage ($75 to $10,000 with an emphasis on donors in the $2,000 to $10,000 range)

·       Conduct face-to-face meetings and theatre visits with Producer’s Club members and prospective members

·       Plan, execute, and monitor annual fundraising campaigns

·       Deliver benefits and recognition to current members (e-newsletters, concierge ticketing, events, donors listings) with the support of the Development Coordinator and Manager of Special Events

·       Develop and implement inventive strategies to increase loyalty and contributions amongst individual donors

·       Persuasively convey the mission of Canadian Stage to a diverse group of stakeholders

·       Coordinate and track donor correspondence while maintaining a high level of accuracy

·       Support the planning and execution of donor events, and regularly attend events and performances to steward relationships with donors and prospective donors

·       Perform other administrative duties as required by the Director of Development and Campaigns

·       Act as an advocate within the organization for the interests of annual giving donors

 

Qualifications:

·       You bring a minimum of 3+ years of experience in fundraising in the not-for-profit sector and an appreciation for the performing arts.

·       You are or wish to be a front-line fundraiser; you have excellent interpersonal skills, with an innate ability to develop new relationships and are comfortable communicating with donors, patrons, and Board members.

·       You enjoy strategizing and have a creative and proactive approach to problem solving.

·       You are confident while working independently and collaborate well while working in a team.

·       You are highly proficient in Microsoft Office applications and are familiar with Tessitura and/or another fundraising management database.

·       You are a strong writer with the capacity to draft letters, solicitations, copy for emails, and e-newsletters.
