Job Overview
Kaleidoscope Theatre for Young People (KTYP) is seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented individual to serve as our Patron Services Coordinator. This key role is responsible for delivering exceptional service to our patrons, students, and families, while ensuring the smooth operation of our Performing Arts Studio. Key Responsibilities
Customer Service: Act as the welcoming face of Kaleidoscope, providing top-tier service to all clients, students, and visitors. Address inquiries in person, by phone, and via email with warmth and professionalism.
Communication: Manage phone lines, respond to emails, and ensure timely and accurate communication of messages. Serve as a liaison between patrons and staff, maintaining clear and effective channels of communication.
Administrative Support: Provide essential administrative assistance, including data entry, filing, and maintaining office supplies. Support all departments with their administrative needs.
Group Sales and Box Office: Coordinate group sales efforts and assist with individual ticket sales. Handle ticket reservations, confirmation calls, and telemarketing campaigns. Engage potential groups and target markets to drive sales. Collect and analyse data from Audience Surveys. Provide on-site support for the Box Office during events.
Theatre School Support: Assist with the day-to-day operations of the Kaleidoscope Performing Arts Studio, including managing class registrations, scheduling, and communication with students and parents.
Event Support: Play a vital role in supporting evening and weekend events, including productions and community outreach events. Coordinate and train volunteers and ushers as needed to ensure successful event execution.
Additional Duties: Carry out other tasks as assigned by the Director of Business and Development, contributing to the overall success of the organisation.
Work Hours:
Regular hours are Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday evenings, and Saturdays. Additional evening and weekend hours may be required to support theatre and community events.
Qualifications:
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Excellent organisational abilities with a keen attention to detail.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
Proficiency in computer skills (experience with Google Suite is an asset).
Previous experience in customer service or administrative roles is a plus.
An interest in theatre and the performing arts is highly valued.

Compensation:
The hourly wage for this part-time position at Kaleidoscope Theatre for Young People is $17.40.
Criminal Record Check and Child-Protection Training:
A criminal record check, including a vulnerable sector check, and mandatory child-protection training must be completed prior to employment.
