Job Description

Marketing Coordinator
Full Time Position

The Position

Reporting to the Senior Brand and Marketing Manager, the Marketing Coordinator will coordinate, and project manages all the direct mail campaigns and marketing/sales eMarketing (digital) campaigns.  Assists with advertising, promotional opportunities, copywriting, editing, proofing while liaising with The Shaw s creative and digital agencies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Organize and oversee all direct marketing campaigns.
  • Liaise with direct mail house to co-ordinate all marketing mailings.
  • Manage and maintain Direct Mail budget.
  • Liaise with digital marketing firm to project manage, edit, and occasionally write digital campaigns.
  • Update the Marketing budget spreadsheets as required.
  • Write marketing and promotional letters to drive ticket sales.
  • Help to develop sales and marketing tactics and ways to implement them.
  • Use the Tessitura Database as required.
  • Book and coordinate promotions for radio, television, web and print. Compile prizing and write up promotional copy and provide prize value.
  • Renew and draw up contracts for advertisers and overnight partners in season handbook and online listings for the web.
  • Write, edit and co-ordinate all marketing/sales eBlast campaigns.
  • Use Wordfly to set up email campaigns for distribution.
  • Interface with creative agency about many marketing creative pieces (signage, eMarketing etc.)
  • Help with the organization and then participate in industry events.
  • Assist with photoshoots.

Skills required:

  •  Experience with wordfly
  • Experience with Tessitura would be an asset.
  • Experience with paid digital marketing
  • Attention to detail.
  • Strong ability to write, edit, proof documents.
  • Organized and methodical
  • Strong reading and comprehension (scripts)
  • problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in theatre would be an asset.
  • Photography skills would be an asset.

Secondary education in a related field of study or equivalent work experience.

Salary range: $38,000 – 48,000 per year
