Company Overview
As we conclude our 25th anniversary season, Boca del Lupo is looking ahead to succession within our own company specifically, and within the Canadian theatre scene in general by creating two new positions within the company - Associate Artistic Director and Associate Producer.
Boca del Lupo is led by Artistic Director Sherry J. Yoon and Artistic Producer Jay Dodge. Our mission is to create and present extraordinary performances in unconventional spaces. We work to broaden the participation, perception and importance of contemporary performance within the multiplicity of Canadian cultures.
Job Description
Reporting to the Artistic Director, the Associate Artistic Director’s responsibilities include artistic planning/curatorial assistance for the Live Performance 360 series, the SLaM Program and the Plays2Perform@ project. The position also supports the company’s touring efforts such as Red Phone which will be at PuSh in 2023 before travelling to South America in the Spring. The Associate Artistic Director position provides support to the Artistic Director generally and specifically with respect the national STOP ASIAN HATE/Celebrate Asian Excellent movement. The Associate Artistic Director supports the processes of grant writing/reporting and coordinates the company’s marketing and communication efforts.
Specifically, the Associate Artistic Director supports the artistic direction of the company in the following ways:
Coordinating SLaM, LP360 and Plays2Perform@ programming
Administrating contracts with artists and related scheduling/logistics.
Managing marketing, publicity and communication efforts.
Assisting the senior staff with curation, research and meetings.

NOTE: Acknowledging the changing landscape of work within the wake of the pandemic, we are posting for two Associate positions as well as a single Managing Producer position. We will either hire two Associates OR one Manager but not both.
