NAC presents, creates, produces, and co-produces performing arts programming in various streams – the
NAC Orchestra, Dance, English Theatre, French Theatre, Indigenous Theatre, and Popular Music and
Variety – and nurtures the next generation of audiences and artists from across Canada. The NAC is located
in the National Capital Region on the unceded territory of the Anishinaabe Algonquin Nation.

Job Description

Key activities:
• Overseeing the management and maintenance of Arts Alive’s unique booking system, Versolo,
for student matinees and workshops, including the conversion of data in Excel;
• Liaising with the system developer to oversee Versolo’s continual improvement;
• Processing school bookings for student matinees and workshops, including the provision of frontline
client service;
• Managing the Arts Alive email account, including responding to inquiries and directing messages
to the appropriate personnel for prompt resolution;
• Guiding the work of a part time employee who assists with the processing of school bookings and
the management of the Arts Alive email account;
• Overseeing Arts Alive’s internal and external reporting requirements;
• Managing room bookings, meeting agendas, invoice requests, and other essential administrative
activities for the Arts Alive team;
• Supporting Arts Alive in producing and facilitating events for schools, youth, and families both
locally and nationally. This includes liaising with partners, artists, and youth program participants,
managing school or community groups on-site at events, and performing other ad hoc tasks to
ensure the successful execution of Arts Alive-affiliated programming.

Required qualifications:
• At least 3 years of experience in administrative roles with significant responsibilities;
• Extensive experience with Microsoft Office Suite, specializing in Excel;
• Proven ability to develop and optimize workflow processes;
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both official languages;
• High level of digital literacy and adaptability to new technologies;
• Excellent organizational skills, including the ability to multi-task and effectively prioritize;
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and take ownership of tasks;
• Collaborative team player, adept at working within a complex organizational structure;
• Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy.
Preferred
• Interest in the performing arts

Desirable
• Experience working with a ticketing, customer relations, or content management system;
• Experience working with educators or within an educational system.
