Swing House Manager

This position reports to the Festival House Manager and is part of the Front of House team. The successful candidate will be expected to assume duties as a Swing House Manager at all Stratford Festival Theaters as needed.


– Ensure the delivery of exceptional customer service by all front line staff
– Ensure the smooth and efficient seating and orderly departure of patrons at performances and events
– Provide ongoing supervision and assist with training front of house staff
– Oversee all patron problems and concerns
– Consult with Box Office on seat availability and strategy for dealing with seating problems
– Supervise parking lot attendants
– Liaise with Facilities, Production and Artistic personnel


– Previous supervisory or management experience in a customer service role
– Excellent customer service skills
– Excellent verbal and written communication
– Proven problem solving skills
– Enthusiastic leader with the ability to manage patron needs and concerns
– Proven ability to manage and motivate staff
– Proficient in Microsoft Office
– Knowledge of the Stratford Festival and the City of Stratford

Preference will be given to candidates with previous experience in a similar role within an arts organization and who also have a valid Standard First Aid/CPR/AED certificate.

This seasonal contract position is located in Stratford, Ontario and will begin in July. Successful candidates will be required to work evenings, weekends and holidays as scheduled with no guarantee of weekly hours.
