The Shaw Festival, located in beautiful Niagara on the Lake, Ontario, in the heart of Niagara’s wine country, is seeking to fill a full time Company Manager position. Reporting to the Producer and Planning Director and as a member of the Creative Management team, the Company Manager will oversee the practical needs of the artistic staff, acting ensemble, musicians, designers, coaches and other company members.
Coordinating the travel for all Artists and Artistic Staff
Working closely with the Housing Manager with regards to Artist housing requirements and placements.
Managing Artist requests for health assistance and emergencies, complimentary tickets, and ongoing information required for Artists working at Shaw.
Planning and coordinating company/ensemble events, such as, Company Meetings, Welcome Events, Opening Celebrations, SNAGS, Cricket, Directors Projects, Christmas, etc.
Assisting Producer with the execution of Ancillary event programming, such as, Secret Theatre, Pop-Up Patio’s, Community Events and Tours.
Assisting Producer and Planning Director with Artist contract preparation, scheduling and other administrative duties.
Organizing and coordinating the annual general auditions.
Attending department meetings and company committees as required.
On-call for emergencies as required.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience working in a performing arts environment. Strong organizational skills; ability to multi-task; excellent interpersonal and written communication skills with an approach to foster strong individual relationships. The willingness to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends is required, along with a valid driver’s license.
