Realwheels announces the completion of Phase 1 of their Cultural Infrastructure Project
Realwheels partnered with Kickstart Disability Arts and Culture and the Social Planning and Research Council of BC (SPARC BC) to address the limited number of theatre venues that are truly and fully accessible for artists/performers, theatre technicians, and patrons with disabilities. Young People’s Theatre (YPT) announces Leaps and Bounds – A National Theatre for Young Audiences (TYA) Play Creation Initiative
This program is designed to encourage new play development in TYA through cross-country collaboration. YPT will serve as the program’s hub and will provide financial support for this ground-breaking initiative. The deadline to apply for 2017/18 is May 1st, 2017. What’s Happening in the Wider Community
- Mary Rozsa de Coquet leaves her post as Executive Director of Calgary’s Rozsa Foundation. Simon Mallet (founder and former artistic director of Downstage) has been announced as the new Executive Director.
- The Early Bird Registration Deadline for the next Canadian Arts Marketing, Development and Ticketing Conference is coming right up on April 21.
- Harbourfront’s World Stage is coming up, featuring productions in dance, theatre and performance art. Ticket prices range from $25-45 for general audiences and $15 for students or persons under the age of 29.
