What’s Your Liability? Understanding Insurance for Abuse and Harassment

Wednesday, January 15, from 2pm to 3pm ET (please adjust for your time zone!)

Led by Steve Beatty (Front Row Insurance)

Insurance claims related to bullying, sexual harassment, and other forms of harassment have increased significantly in recent years, as have claims for other workplace-related liabilities such as discrimination, human rights violations, the supervision of employments, and employment termination.

We know it can be a hard subject to talk about, but the actions of employees, contracted teachers & creative staff, performers, and volunteers expose your company to potential liability. Especially when teaching young people, working with vulnerable adults or young actors, or running community outreach programs, your organization faces risks for allegations of sexual, emotional, or physical abuse.

This webinar is a primer on understanding these liabilities and managing your risks better. We’ll help you to:

  • Understand how your abuse and harassment insurance works
  • Spot red flags in your coverage and exclusions
  • Ask the right questions of your insurance company
  • Follow protocols that protect your organization, your staff, and your volunteers
  • Be ready to act promptly and with diligence should a claim arise

Our presenter Steve Beatty from Front Row Insurance builds insurance programs that protect arts organizations and all the great people who work hard making them successful. He runs the pactONE insurance program and has advocated for clients in complex claims involving abuse and workplace harassment. This webinar will be a great opportunity to learn from Steve, ask questions, and discuss best practices with your peers.
