The Arts Club Theatre Company is Canada’s largest not-for-profit urban theatre company. Currently in its 58th season, the Arts Club offers professional live theatre at three venues, as well as on tour throughout the province. Arts Club Theatre Company offices, rehearsal halls, workshops, and theatres are all located on the unceded, ancestral and traditional shared lands of the xʷməθkwəy̓əm (Musqueam), Skwxwú7mesh (Squamish), and Səl̓ílwətaʔ/Selilwitulh (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations.

As a not-for-profit charitable arts organization, the Arts Club relies heavily on the generosity of our community to assist us with offsetting operating costs. We receive support from individual donors, corporate sponsors, foundations, and all levels of government.
Reporting to the Associate Director of Development, the Digital Project Coordinator is a dynamic, highly motivated, and results-driven individual. This individual will assist in the development of various projects and will work closely with members of the Fund Development and Marketing & Communications teams. The Digital Project Coordinator will play a key role in coordinating digital engagement for Arts Club initiatives.
Please note this position is funded by the Canada Summer Jobs and applicants must be between 15 and 30 years of age at the beginning of the employment period; be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person to whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act for the duration of the employment; and have a valid Social Insurance Number at the start of employment and be legally entitled to work in Canada in accordance with relevant provincial or territorial legislation and regulations.
SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
• Photography and video editing experience
• Excellent writing and good organizational skills
• Ability to take direction as well as work independently
• Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office suite, working knowledge of Microsoft Access an asset
• Good interpersonal and communication skills
• Detail oriented
• A passion for the arts, specifically theatre is an asset
The Digital Project Coordinator will play an essential role in creating and coordinating online content that increases patron engagement and supports the organization’s mission. The candidate will help accomplish the following:
• Create social media content
• Film and edit videos
• Assist in the promotion of events and shows
• Measure engagement for online programming on different platforms
• Assist with the promotion of short-form content for Facebook Live, YouTube, Instagram, and website
• Assist with silent auction solicitation and collection
• Internally test different platforms and the user experience through patron surveys and make recommendations
• Other administrative tasks as required
Please note that this position is a full-time contract 35 hours per week, Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM– 5:00 PM for 8 weeks. Some evenings/weekends may be required.
Start date: June 6, 2022
Compensation: $18.00 per hour *contingent on funding
